A Lifetime
The film is a modern-day take on a ‘Memento Mori’; Latin for, ‘Be mindful of death’. Running in parallel to this, is a story about rejecting the limitations of being a human and suffering the consequences. There are connections to the Existential concept of angst, which is described as a profound and deep-seated spiritual condition of insecurity and despair in the free human being.
For authentic living, what is needed is the resolute confrontation of death
- Martin Heidegger
In short;
an Authentic Being takes a leap of faith in pursuit of transcendence, prematurely.
